CHANGE.

People don’t mind theorizing about change, talking about change or telling other people to change, we just don’t want to change. If we are honest, most of us will admit that we don’t like change because change makes us uncomfortable. However, results don’t change until people change and people won’t change until leaders change because leaders are responsible for shaping system culture. Most of us have heard the phrase “Culture eats Strategy for breakfast.” Even more so, then, “Culture is on Change’s menu for lunch and dinner!” Change isn’t change until it’s change. The illusion of progress (with regard to culture, strategy or anything else) is talking about change, but remaining the same. Just as running a marathon, putting on muscle weight, or even losing a bit of weight, requires change, organizational progress towards effectiveness also requires change, and change must begin with leaders. #LeadWithChange
