DE-IMPLEMENTATION.

Effective leaders keep 4 lists… (1) Keep doing, (2) start doing,(3) do differently, and (4) stop doing. Often, the most valuable list is stop doing, because many people and organizations are ‘spread too thin’ to foster the focus required to achieve radical results. ‘Stop doing’ involves the art of de-implementation, which, in essence, means a prioritization of high-value activities with an eye towards decluttering low-value objectives. But saying NO to low-leverage activities means having the leadership clarity and courage to say YES to high yield practices. Leaders who de-implement foster goal and strategy coherence (shared meaning and understanding) among stakeholders and then act to integrate organizational behaviors with stated objectives and outputs - closing the institutional gap between ‘well said’ and ‘well done.’ #LeadWithDeimplementation
