PERSPECTIVE.

Seasoned leaders know - seat number one is different than seat number two. In fact, as leaders, everything looks different based on the seat we are sitting in. Leadership is exercised on levels and arrived at in stages. So, as we progress along the leadership journey, what we see (our perspective) is influenced as much by ‘where we are’ as it is by ‘who we are.’ And while leaders should never, 'wholesale,' abandon their own thinking - they should also reserve, ‘wholesale judgment’ regarding what the leader the next level up is doing. Effective second and third seat leaders understand that it’s only faithfulness over that which is another persons that qualifies a leader for that which is their own. #LeadWithPerspective
